A Rare Disease Biotechnology Company

Mantle Therapeutics was founded in early 2023 to target the treatment of rare fatal diseases that lack curative therapies. That mandate has expanded from our initial lead candidate and disease indication to a platform company that spans multiple diseases and therapeutic technologies. At inception, Mantle's founders were working out of a rock-climbing/co-work space in Brooklyn. To 'mantle' is to 'pull oneself up onto a ledge, then push down on it to bring oneself into a standing position'. An aspirational goal for us became developing treatments that would allow people living with rare neurological disease to complete this movement - many of whom suffer from upper and lower limb weakness. It also serves as a reminder of how we started and the work required to pull a company up and push a company forward. Mantle occupies a lab and office in Soho, Manhattan - alas one without a rock-climbing wall.
